Friday    July 18 Friday Night Flicks 1959 "Some Like it Hot" starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon.  When Chicago musicians Joe (Curtis) and Jerry (Lemmon) accidentally witness a gangland shooting, they quickly board a southbound train to Florida, disguised as Josephine and Daphne, the two newest and homeliest members of an all-girl jazz band.  Their cover is perfect...until a lovelorn singer (Monroe) falls for Josephine, an ancient playboy falls for Daphne, and a mob boss refuses to fall for their hoax.  Tickets $5, Family of Four $15.  Available at the door.
Saturday  July 26     6:30 pm Blinded by Rage Concert Anvil Sword Promotions presents Vergennes Eruption : Beyond These Walls, Apathy Arising, aVicious Cycle.  "Blinded by Rage has perfected that rare strain of heavy music that ably mashes old-school hardcore crunch with the technical and melodic virtuosity of metal"-Dan Bolles: Seven Days.  Tickets $8 General Admission.

Friday  Sept. 19 Broadway Direct IV Once again we are offering a rare chance to see some of the most talented actors on Broadway performing the great classics of musical theater in your own backyard! This year promises to be one of the best!  More details available soon.
Saturday  Sept. 20  8:30 am 10th Annual Ladies Rally This annual auto rally, first started by a group of lady car fanatics, celebrates 10 years of raising funds for the Opera House with a special route through Vermont.  Join us in this anniversary year celebration for a special day taking in the countryside and exploring all that Vermont's local cheese, food and wine producers have to offer....and all for a great cause!  Prizes for the most money raised, the best costume (either group or individual), and for the greatest enthusiasm.  Ladies, start your engines!  For information on registering early-please call 802-877-6737 and talk to Jackson.

Friday    Oct 3     7:30 pm Vermont Symphony Orchestra Vermont Symphony Orchestra 'Made in Vermont Music Festival'.  Celebrating the changing seasons takes on a new meaning with this year's festival.  Internationally renowned violinist and VSO music director Jaime Laredo performs Vivaldi's crowning achievement, The Four Seasons.  Continuing our tradition of commissioning a new piece every tour, the program includes world premiere Pierre Jalbert (formerly of South Burlington and a member of the Vermont Youth Orchestra, now an award-winning composer living in Texas.)  The concert begins with two gems: Canzonetta by Sibelius and Gershwin's lovely Lullaby.  Tickets $22 Adults, $18 Seniors, $12 Students. 
Thursday  Oct 23   7:30 pm Bruce Innes Concert Jazz/Blues singer, songwriter Bruce Innes will be at the Vergennes Opera House for a night of entertainment. 
Friday    Oct 24        7:30 pm Friday Night Flicks Lake Champlain Voyages of Discovery: "Bringing History Home" world premier documentary film of recently completed archeology along the shores of the lake at Chimney Point in Addison County, Vermont.
